Who he was
1419–1474 Castilian noble
Juan Pacheco, Marquess of Villena, was a nobleman and politician in fifteenth-century Castile whose career significantly influenced the reign of Henry IV of Castile. As the favorite, advisor and Mayordomo mayor to the future king, Pacheco accumulated numerous titles, offices, and territories, establishing himself as the dominant political figure of his era.
